Founded in 1989, in Freiburg, Germany, AIM GmbH has seen steady, solid and consistent growth. The AIM UK office was established in High Wycombe (West of London) during November 1994. It serves as a reliable and well established partner/ supplier to all major aerospace & defense clients throughout the UK and Ireland. To support our growing customer base in Germany, we opened a direct technical sales office in Munich during January 2001. Subsequently our business has significantly grown supporting the German Aerospace Industry and the BWB.
In October 2000, our presence in the US was enhanced by opening a Sales/ Support and licensed manufacturing operations headquartered out of Nebraska. AIM-USA is a majority American owned company, based in Elkhorn, just west of Omaha.
AIM-USA manufactures & produces PCI/ PCI-X, cPCI, VME, PMC, PC-Card (PCMCIA, Type-II) and VXI modules under license to AIM GmbH. In July 2003, the American partners of AIM-USA started the in country design and development of our Fibre Channel products with a team of experts based in Dayton, Ohio, just outside of Wright Patterson AFB.
AIM-USA works with factory direct Applications Engineers, regional Field Sales Engineers and local authorized Manufacturers Representatives nationwide and for Canada. AIM’s commitment and dedication to our North American customers have now collectively grown the business well in excess of 18M US dollars world-wide annually.
Establishing long term & trustful relationships with our customers & suppliers has been the key to our success. Expert, pre and post sales technical support comes as part of the AIM solution. Our direct AIM sales offices, in co-operation with our fully qualified Representative network, provide optimised in country service for all your Avionics Test & Simulation requirements.
