April, 1989

Founding AIM GmbH in Freiburg, Germany by Hansjoerg Frey, Eugen Krassin, Karl Specht and Hans Zogalla and residing in the Technology Center, Freiburg.

Worldwide first COTS STANAG3910 Testing Interface
October, 1989

AIM presents its first product:  AVM3910-M a VMEbus 3910 Interface Module.
The AVM3910 is worldwide the first COTS STANAG3910 Testing Interface with an AIM designed Fibre Optic Frontend.

These are AIM’s first generation of VME based full function Test and Simulation Modules for MIL-STD-1553 and STANAG3910.

MBA-90 Bus Analyzer System

Within 1992 AIM introduced the MBA-90,  AIM’s first VME and MS-DOS based Bus Analyzer System.

Move to new Facilities

First PC based MIL-STD-1553 Card
May, 1993

1993 AIM presents the APC1553T – the first generation of full function Test and Simulation Modules for MIL-STD-1553 for ISA bus.

PBA-90 Bus Analyzer System

PBA-90 was AIM’s first PC and MS-DOS based Bus Analyzer System.

First PC based ARINC 429 Interface Card
May, 1994

AIM introduces the APC429, its first ARINC 429 Product for ISA bus.

PAA-429 Analyzer Software
July, 1994

With the PAA-429, AIM offers its first Windows based ARINC 429 Bus Analyzer Software.

The AIM UK office was established in High Wycombe (West of London) during November 1994.

PBA-2000 and PBA-3910 are AIM’s first Windows based Bus Analyzer for MIL-STD-1553 and STANAG3910.
The AIM firstly introduced “Systems Overview” was unqiue and copied by many competitor tools.

First High Level Bus Analyzer Windows Software for Parameter Handling.
It unified MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, STANAG3910 and later ARINC664 parameter view via a single GUI.

Foundation of the first AIM Office in the USA

AIM has been present in the North American Avionics market since 1997. The first AIM USA office was operated by Douglas Ullah in Boyton Beach, FL.

Opening AIM GmbH Munich Sales Office
January, 2001

AIM GmbH opened a direct Sales Office in Munich, Germany.

Hubert Waldmann took on the challenge as a Sales Manager for AIM’s standard products and systems covering the territories of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark.

In the meantime over 40 employees work with AIM GmbH.

AIM contracted by Airbus for supply of Standard AFDX Analyzer Test Equipment on A380 program.

The fdXplorer was worldwide the first dedicated Network Analyzer
and Simulator Software for AFDX/ARINC664 in the Avionics
